Qanna – The Jealous God

Did you know that one of God's names in Scripture is Qanna — "Jealous"?

But it’s not the kind of jealousy we’ve experienced in the world.
He’s not petty or insecure.

👉🏽 He’s holy.
👉🏽 He’s set apart.
👉🏽 And He’s calling you to be the same.

In Exodus 34, during the Month of Aviv (the biblical new year), Moses was called back to Mount Sinai after Israel sinned with the golden calf.

It was a season of deliverance, repentance, and fresh covenant.

And right there, God reveals His name:

Sis, this isn’t about God being controlling.
This is about covenant love.
A jealous fire that fights for your heart — even when you’ve wandered.

God is calling His daughters to burn the idols.
To come back to the mountain.
To radiate His glory like Moses did.

You are called to be set apart, just like He is.
You are called to be holy, because He is.
You are called to be His.

And He’s not sharing your worship with anything or anyone else.
